The key to successful digital marketing is productivity. The biggest challenge with consistently providing content is that it takes a lot of time. It’s not easy putting out a blog every week. And most companies should really be putting out 2 or 3 blogs per week. Plus you have to consistently post on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, in different groups and forums, etc… The list goes on and on.
Digital Marketing Productivity Tools
So how can a small to medium sized business manage their time and plan accordingly to get out all that content consistently? First of all, you’re going to need some energy because it’s not easy.
Next, you should make your life easier by using some tools to help you consistently deliver that quality content and conquer digital marketing productivity:
Project Management Tools
Using a project management tool can drastically increase your efficiency by making sure everything gets done. A side benefit is that it creates greater visibility on who is supposed to do what – which increases accountability. Nobody wants to be that guy who’s always late on their assignments.
- Basecamp: The tool we use. It’s a web-based project management tool that’s easy to use.
- Trello: Another great project management tool.
Search Engine Optimization Tools
It’s important to track all of your content marketing to know what works, what doesn’t and what to do next.
- Moz: This is the one we use. It’s easy to use and not too expensive
- Hubspot: A little different than Moz because it includes other features in addition to analytics. It’s more expensive, but I hear it’s worth it (we don’t use it…yet)
Social Media Management Tools
This is an important choice. Using a tool to manage your posts can save you tons of time. There are a ton of choices in this category, but I narrowed it down to my two favorites.
Visual Content Tools
As you probably know by now, visual content is critical. People would rather look at an image to get their information than have to read a bunch of text.
- Venngage: A free and easy-to-use service to create infographics
- Visual.ly: Another great tool to create infographics
Other Important Tools
Every website should have Google Analytics installed so you can see what’s actually happening. Google wants you to use it so they make it as easy as possible and provide tons of training.
Last but not least, we highly recommend that you get a website analysis and a review of your online marketing. You can get a free Website Analysis from us within 24 hours. It will show you how to fix errors that are costing you sales and how to quickly boost lead generation.
If I missed any great tools, please let me know. I’m always searching for ways to increase my productivity too. Now stop wasting time in the hallways and start conquering!!
To your continued success,
